Terms and Conditions
1. DEFINITIONS
Course(s) means public training
courses offered by Chameleon.
Course Documentation means
the accredited course materials for accredited
training courses and Chameleon course documentation
for non-accredited training courses.
Course Fees are the advertised
fees for all courses.
Course Venue means the location
at which Chameleon presents its course.
Customer means any customer
of Chameleon.
Delegate means a person nominated
to attend a Chameleon course.
Examination Fee means the fees
incurred obtaining and returning examination
papers to and from the examination board. Once
ordered, Examination Fees are non-refundable.
On-site Courses are available
at a customer location subject to acceptance
of quotation.
Public Courses means a fixed
schedule of courses delivered by one or more
course director(s) at locations specified on
the schedule and determined by Chameleon.
2. FEES
Public Course Fees include
coffee on arrival, morning and afternoon refreshments,
one copy of course documentation (where applicable)
and writing aids and materials. Public course
fees include Examination Fees where specified.
Not included are: accommodation, meals or any
other expenses incurred by delegates unless
specified otherwise.
VAT is payable at the prevailing rate for all
courses held in the UK.
Fee Change. Chameleon reserves the right to
change course fees at any time. Bookings accepted
on any courses before notification of an increase
in course fee remain unchanged.
Examination Fee may be subject to change without
prior notice. Chameleon reserves the right to
pass on to the customer any increase in Examination
Fee.
Discounted Fees: Where more than one course
is booked at a single time.
3.
PAYMENT
On confirmation of booking, a VAT invoice will
be sent to Accounts Payable unless otherwise
stated.
IT IS A CONDITION OF BOOKING
THAT PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE
ATTENDANCE ON THE COURSE OR PARTICIPATION IN
AN EXAMINATION.
All payments must be made in pounds sterling,
unless otherwise stated. Note: Public Scheduled
courses are payable 10 days before attendance
on the course.
Payment by credit or debit card attracts a 3%
handling fee at the time of booking which is
non refundable.
4.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of a booking: cancellation charges
will be made as follows:
No cancellation charge will be incurred if notice
of cancellation is received 15 working days
before the start of the course.
A cancellation fee equal to the full amount
of the course fee will be charged if notice
of cancellation is received less than 15 workings
days before the start of the course.
Non-Attendance: Should a delegate not attend
a booked course then the full amount of the
course fee will be charged.
Substitution: Substitution of a delegate booked
on a course by another employee from the same
organisation may be made at any time without
charges being incurred.
5.
CANCELLATION OF COURSE BY CHAMELEON
All courses are offered on the basis of there
being sufficient delegates to justify holding
the course. Chameleon may cancel any individual
confirmed booking for a course by notifying
the customer of such cancellation at any time
prior to the scheduled start date of the course.
Chameleon will endeavour to give the customer
as much notice as is possible where cancellation
is necessary.
Where insufficient delegate numbers or any other
circumstances force Chameleon to cancel a course,
the liability of Chameleon shall be limited
to a refund of any fees received for the cancelled
course.
If Chameleon is unable to start or complete
a course as scheduled because of illness or
resignation of a Chameleon employee or associate,
or for any cause beyond Chameleon’s reasonable
control, Chameleon will attempt to reschedule
the course within a reasonable timeframe. The
Customer may cancel the course, without charge,
if the rescheduled date is not convenient. In
these circumstances Chameleon shall not be liable
for any expenses incurred by the Customer.
6.
COURSE CHANGES
Chameleon reserves the right to alter any part
of the published course programme; including
dates, lecturer(s), venue, and content if it
is necessitated by circumstances beyond its
control. It will however use its best efforts
to ensure the programme as altered remains as
close to the published programme as possible.
Chameleon shall not be liable for any costs
incurred due to course changes.
7.
DOCUMENTATION
The copyright of all documentation (including
all accredited materials, workbooks, handouts
and exercises) issued during the course is the
sole property of either Chameleon or its licensor
as indicated on the material. Under no circumstances
should documentation by copied, summarised or
reproduced by any means without the written
express permission of the copyright owner. Should
any illegal use of any materials be discovered,
legal actions may be instigated against the
offender(s).
8.
PROVISION OF INFORMATION
Whilst Chameleon makes every effort to ensure
that all information (written and verbal) provided
during a course is accurate and correct at the
time, no liability for any claims in relation
to loss of business or consequential damage
incurred by a customer as a result of using
or relying on the information will be accepted.
9.
LAW
English law shall govern the contract between
Chameleon and all its customers.
10.
FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be responsible for failure
to fulfil its obligations hereunder to the extent
that this results from any cause beyond its
reasonable control.
