Structure and Syllabus
This course is based upon the new ITIL V3 Service Management Best Practices known as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). This 3 day training course leads to the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.

The syllabus is aimed at raising the understanding of and competence in IT Service Management and for candidates to:

  • Understand and to define service and the concepts of Service Management
  • Understand the Service lifecycle and explain the objectives and business value for each phase
  • Key principles of Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement
  • Understand the goals and objectives of SS, SD,ST, SO and CSP
  • Define new key terminology and concepts of Service Management
  • Demonstrate a hi level understanding of five of the core processes
  • The basic concepts and objectives of the 15 ITIL V3 processes
  • Undertake the ITIL V3 Foundation examination

ITIL V3 Course Documentation
Chameleon as an accredited V3 training organisation will provide for each candidate accredited course documentation, new quick reference guides, ITIL V3 glossary of terms and access to all new OGC publications in readiness to undertake the ITL V3 examination.

Examination Preparation and Criteria
The multiple choice examination is undertaken at the end of the course in the afternoon of day three. Throughout the course candidates will receive a minimum of 2 new ITIL V3 sample papers in order to demonstrate their understanding of ITIL V3 Service Management.

The ITIL V3 Examination
40 multiple choice questions to be undertaken in one hour, closed book examination, where a pass mark of 65% is required in order to be awarded the ITIL Foundation Certificate.

ITIL V3 Examination Results
The results will be received directly by candidates approximately 2-3 weeks following the examination
